Week 35 MLS Picks
Sunday Night Soccer spelled the end of our most recent month-long win streak, but the damage was minimal and we’ll certainly take that. With just three weeks remaining in the regular season we’ll look to put a bow on what has been a very successful year of picks.
Before we get to the picks as normal, another reminder that we’ve got an addition to this weekly article in 2025. If you’ve been following along with the podcast during the offseason, you’ll know we’ve partnered with Underdog Fantasy. If you want to play along with us at Underdog, you can sign up today using this link and when you use promo code "NORTHEND" at sign up you'll get up to $1000 in bonus cash plus a free pick!
The official league injury report for Saturday’s games came out Friday afternoon, let’s dive into the Week 35 picks.
Underdog Fantasy Entry of the week
Each match week, we’ll have an Underdog Fantasy entry for you to tail if your heart desires. Let’s get to the board and build a winner!
This weekend is “Boostober” at Underdog Fantasy, meaning all of your entries get a 30% profit boost. Just make sure to apply the promotion to any entry before submitting!
Taking advantage of the promotion, we’ll pair two guys from the Houston and San Diego match for some positive correlation. Jonathan Bond has allowed 1.67 goals per game this season. To emphasize how bad he’s been, Bond is second worst only to John Pulskamp in post-shot xG (one of the best shot stopping metrics) this season. San Diego on the other hand is still in first place in the Western Conference, averaging 1.75 goals per game. They’ve also scored two or more goals in 11 of their 15 road matches this season.
Pairing Bond with Hirving Lozano’s shot prop does ding the multiplier on our entry, but that normal nerf is negated by the 30% boost promotion. So we feel great being able to grab this prop at 3.5, considering Lozano is averaging 4.3 shot attempts per 90 minutes this season. He’s over this number in 10 of 14 games when playing 80 or more minutes in 2025, something he’s done in four of his last five appearances.
Closing out this week’s entry with another line that we’d normally avoid if it weren’t for this weekend’s promotion. The Quakes are on the ropes and heavy underdogs on the road against the Whitecaps on Sunday night. But Chicho is averaging 4.32 shots per 90 this season. He’s recorded three or more shots in 23 of his 28 appearances this season and even took five shots against the Whitecaps in the first leg of this regular season series.
Using the standard payout selection (and the 30% Boostober promotion) on Underdog, this 3-pick entry will payout a prize of 6.2x your entry fee if successful.
We’ve added some additional plays that can be substituted in place of the props given above if you miss lock for one of those games or one of those options doesn’t start. The additional plays this week are listed in order of preference and we’re fine using these props in any entry.
Idan Gorno O 0.5 shots on target (0.94x)
Evander O 1.5 shots on target (1.05x)
Novak Micovic O 1.5 goals allowed (0.79x)
Leo Campana O 2.5 shots attempted (1.1x)
Patrick Schulte O 1.5 goals allowed (0.87x)

Week 35 Picks
Charlotte FC
ML +145
At this point of the season we’re scanning for opportunities to leverage the table to our advantage. We’ve got a number of those spots this weekend and we’ll start in the nation’s capital. DC United has long been eliminated from playoff contention and are just one point ahead of LA Galaxy for the wooden spoon. They’ll play host to Charlotte FC on Saturday in the early afternoon slot, a team that has clinched a postseason spot and could still end up as high as the second seed or as low as the ninth seed. They have everything to play for and have more than doubled up (53) the point total of DC United (25) this season. We’ll take Charlotte to win.
San Diego FC
ML +160
Another spot that feels almost too good to be true. The gap between San Diego and the field in the Western Conference has evaporated and they’re likely going to have to win their last two matches and then have some help to hold onto the top seed come Decision Day. They’re in H-Town on Saturday to take on the Dynamo, who got brutal news this week of a season ending procedure for Jack McGlynn as they cling to their slim postseason chances. Without McGlynn, the Dynamo will struggle even more than normal to create quality chances. Houston has an additional nine players on their injury report for this one and there’s no way San Diego, even with their recent inconsistencies, should be underdogs here. We’re backing the expansion side to take three points back to the west coast
Vancouver Whitecaps + LAFC To Win
ML Parlay +124
We’ve got a Sunday Night Soccer doubleheader to close out our MLS weekend featuring two heavy home favorites battling for seeding at the top of the Western Conference. The Whitecaps are in prime position to overtake San Diego FC for the top slot, while LAFC could send the expansion side even further down the standings by Decision Day. Vancouver will host San Jose, who are still very much in contention for a postseason spot while also being well inferior to the ‘Caps. That’s the tougher leg of the two, with LAFC welcoming Atlanta United in the nightcap. The Black and Gold are the hottest team in the league at the moment and shouldn’t be tripped up by the Five Stripes, who have been eliminated for weeks.
