Week 6 MLS Picks
The MLS regular season resumes on Saturday after a crucial international break that finalized the field for this summer’s FIFA World Cup. It was a nice break for us as well and we return to the picks with a renewed focus.
The official league injury report for Saturday’s games came out Friday afternoon, let’s dive into the Week 6 picks.
Pick’Em Entry of the week
Each match week, we’ll have a pick’em entry for you to tail if your heart desires. This week we’re playing on Underdog Fantasy. If you want to play along with us at Underdog, you can sign up today using this link. Let’s get to the board and build a winner!
We begin the Week 6 entry with Diego Rossi and the Columbus Crew on the road to take on Eastern Conference foes Atlanta United. Rossi has a massive MLS resume to pull from and has averaged 3.15 shot attempts per 90 in his over 15,000 minutes in this league. More recently, he recorded 3.3 shot attempts per 90 last season and was over this number in 22 of 32 appearances, including going over in both meetings with The Five Stripes.
Then we’ll stick with the shots attempted props and pivot to an old reliable. While Evander’s shots attempted prop is nerfed to 0.83x this week, it’s for good reason. The all-star midfielder has averaged 3.48 shot attempts per 90 over his 7,600+ MLS minutes and was over this number in a whopping 27 of 33 regular season starts in 2025. He’s kept that going so far this season, going over this number in both starts where he played more than 12 minutes (Evander was injured early in the season opener).
Finishing things off by backing San Diego FC to put two or more goals past Daniel and the San Jose Earthquakes. Over the last two seasons, this type of line would be a godsend, as the Quakes gave up a combined 141 regular season goals. To this point of the 2026 season however, San Jose is boasting the second best scoring defense in the league, allowing just one total goal through five matches. Despite the resilient start, five games is still a small enough sample size where we’re comfortable relying on past data, including the fact that San Diego was the best road team in MLS last season and scored two or more goals in 14 of 18 road matches, including playoffs. They’ve also picked up where they left off, recording two or more goals in four of their five regular season matches so far this year.
Using the standard payout selection (and the 40% profit boost token dropped in users accounts on Friday) on Underdog, this 3-pick entry will payout a prize of 7.6x your entry fee if successful.
We’ve added some additional plays that can be substituted in place of the props given above if you miss lock for one of those games, want to make additional entries or one of the given options doesn’t start. The additional plays this week are listed in order of preference and we’re fine using these props in any entry.
Andre Blake O 1.5 goals allowed (1.03x)
Martin Ojeda O 2.5 shots attempted (1.04x)
Roman Burki O 1.5 goals allowed (0.87x)
Ivan Jaime O 2.5 shots attempted (1.06x)
Brad Stuver O 2.5 goals allowed (1.05x)
Zack Steffen O 1.5 goals allowed

Week 6 Picks
Charlotte FC
ML +100
Last season, Charlotte FC was the best home team in the league, recording 40 points across their 17 matches at Bank of America Stadium. They’ve continued that form into the early parts of 2026, remaining undefeated in their stadium with seven points from three games. On Saturday they welcome Philadelphia Union to town, who are off to a rocky start as the only MLS team to lose their first five matches this season. With a clean bill of health for all their key players, we’re backing The Crown to take three points at home.
Nashville SC
ML +205
Nashville SC remains tied atop the Supporter’s Shield standings with LAFC headed into Week 6 and like the Black and Gold, have a midweek CCC fixture to contend with. Because of that, we’re going to hold of placing this pick until we see the lineups drop on Saturday. Not just to see if Nashville rotates their DPs ahead of the first leg of their quarterfinal in the midweek, but to check on a trio of important questionable tags for Chicago in the form of Phillip Zinckernagel, Jack Elliott and Hugo Cuypers. If the visitors line up as normal and the Fire are missing any number of those options on the injury report, fire away. If Nashville rotates and the Chicago guys play, we’ll back the staunch Nashville defense and take the under 2.5 total for +105.
San Diego FC
ML +190
Another road team on the menu this Saturday night. Unlike Nashville, San Diego have already made their exit from CCC and have shifted their full focus to league play. They don’t have a clean injury report, but the key pieces are intact for this one and on the other side, the Quakes have a key questionable tag on Timo Werner. We don’t need to wait to have full confidence in this pick, San Diego to win on the road after they were the league’s best away from home last season and are unbeaten in their two road trips in 2026.
