Last weekend brought us a poor result at the books but we stayed hot with the pick’em entries. After some midweek Leagues Cup, we’re back for a full slate for Matchday 23.

The official league injury report for Saturday’s games came out Friday afternoon, let’s dive into the Week 23 picks.

Week 23 Picks

LAFC

It’s been a slog of late for the Black and Gold, winless in their last four league matches. While their defense has remained stout, only allowing a single goal in each of those four fixtures, the offense has gone cold, scoring just twice in that span. They’re on the road this Saturday to take on DC United, a team who are on an identical four-match winless streak. They’ve been the worst home team in the Eastern Conference this season and the third-worst league-wide. At some point, LAFC is going to find their footing in a major way. The Son/Bouanga combo won’t stay this quiet for long and we’re going to back them to take all three points in the nation’s capital this weekend.

Inter Miami To Win + Vancouver Whitecaps to Win

The two biggest favorites on the weekend are in smash spots. Inter Miami is at home hosting CF Montreal, a team that they have done nothing but win against since Lionel Messi’s arrival in MLS, including a 1-0 road victory over Montreal back in July with Messi and Rodrigo De Paul sidelined. Montreal has also been one of the worst road sides in MLS this year, recording just seven points from their ten matches played. We’ll take Miami to win.

We’ll pair that with the Whitecaps to take down last place Sporting Kansas City on the road as well. SKC have made a huge splash in the transfer market over the last week. However, their two big acquisitions will not play in this one, and they also moved star striker Dejan Joveljic to Seattle earlier this week. Vancouver should take this one with ease and we’ve got a nice parlay near even money for our Saturday evening.

NSH/CIN O 2.5 + POR/ATX U 3.5

We’re going back to an FC Cincinnati over as the Knifey Lions travel to Supporter’s Shield leading Nashville SC. Cincy matches are averaging 4.57 goals per game this season and while Nashville has the league’s best defense at present, the goals have flown when these two clubs come together as we’ve seen three or more goals in the last three meetings between these two teams. Nashville’s offense is so deadly they could hit this number by themselves (as they’ve already done six times in league play in 2026).

Then we’ll take the under on Austin FC and the Portland Timbers. Austin played nearly an hour down a man against Toluca on Monday and have always struggled against the Timbers, especially at Providence Park. ATX has three total goals from five all-time meetings in Portland and these two teams have been under this number in seven of the last eight meetings dating back to November 2021. Pairing these two totals together gives us a sneaky plus-money parlay.
